Due to great numbers, we have instituted a sign in sheet for group sessions. Under the "Links" drop down is a link to register. This will take you to a Google Spread Sheet.
The program is on auto save, but just wait about 30 seconds before closing the box to ensure it saves. If you have a google account and are signed in, you can use hit the save file button in the upper left!

We will continue to use this format as class offerings increase

There is a 5k walk-a-thon on October 11, 2009 in Johnson Park in Piscataway. The money raised goes to support the Mental Health Association in NJ. This is a group that provides resource information to anybody who calls or logs on to their web site, they do advocacy work, education and training for the citizens of NJ. They are a free service that I have used on many occassions at work.

One problem I see with many walk-a-thons or other fund raising events, is that the organizers are often "preaching to the choir". I would like to see people come to the event who have never used the mental health system (and hopefully will never have to). The reality is, everybody is impacted by mental health concerns on some level, those concerns may individual, or may be through loved ones, friends, co-workers, etc...

If you are interested in walking, or know of somebody who may be interested you can follow this link http://mhanjwalk.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=321738

OK, so it was great to see everyone, and get a early swim in, despite the drive to and from. However I must say that swimming in the ocean with the Jelly fish eggs, feels like swimming through a pool with rice in it. Once you get past that (which I did not) the conditions were great, calm surf crystal water. Rice everywhere

Let's see... A warm July night in trendy, upscale Westfield. Add a fast and scenic 5K, a great--and we mean great!--band and an amenities package that can't be beat. Did we forget the pizza? It all adds up to the 8th Annual Downtown Westfield 5K and Pizza Extravaganza.

The fast, slightly modified new course will challenge you and you'll finish at Elm and Broad streets in the heart of downtown. Come early, stay late, as we entertain and feed you. We'll also throw in some neat surprises. (Hint--Embroidered hat to first 600 entrants.) We expect 2200 runners in 2009!

Westfield is a snap to find using the Garden State Parkway or Route 22. Pre-registration guarantees a T-shirt to the first 2000 and a cap to the first 600.

Guys, Payton as many of you know is a Professional Musician and has a concert next Wednesday in the City

It's my group Alarm Will Sound (www.alarmwillsound.com). I was a founding member of this group, which is basically a classical group, but we're doing a concert of all IDM stuff ("Intelligent Dance Music"), which is electronic music that has its roots in techno, but it's very fast, with amazingly complex and crazy drum beats. We've transcribed all these tunes for live ensemble and it's very cool to hear and see. Our recording of this stuff reached #19 on the Billboard crossover charts.

Here's the link to the gig: http://lepoissonrouge.com/events/view/386
