Group Training
Solis is continuing to respond to the needs and desires of our athletes. Group training sessions are active, fun, and stimulating ways to get fit. Currently, Solis is offering our version of Boot Camp, Kettle bell as well as group runs and group rides to those looking for an exciting group activity.
While each day will change, it will involve cardio, core, and overall body strength, done in a group setting. You will perform body weight assisted exercise, use some exercise equipment such as bands and balls, and generally just have a good time. Plan to run, jump, kick, push, and pull. And plan to do so against the clock. While Solis has designed these routines with a multi-sport athlete in mind, all are welcome to attend.
CURRENT PROGRAMS
Boot Camps are currently being held at our facility in North Brunswick. Led by our personal trainers and coaches. These programs are run Tuesday’s evenings, check our calendar for times and locations.
Kettlebells – Small group Kettle bell classes are in full swing! Taught by KBC Certified Kettle bell Instructors, Michelle and Keith . Class will run out of Solis’ home base in North Brunswick, NJ. Kettle Bells are strength and conditioning modalities, which use resistance in conjunction with a variable level. This means, balance, coordination and the ability to work on multiple planes is important. Classes run evening on a varying bi-weekly schedule. Check the calendar and sign up for more details.
TRX Suspension Training – Similar to gymnastic equipment, TRX Suspension training is a leverage and body weight based exercise system. This modality requires balance and coordination, and allows the athletes to adjust resistance, by simply moving their fixed body in relation to the anchor point. This is a full body strength and flexibility session. Class days rotate bi-weekly rotate and generally last between 45-60 minutes.
Spinning – Our certified Spin instructors take a different approach toward training your endurance. As competitive athletes we know what skills you will need to translate to improved performance on the roads or trails. Music is viewed as an accessory, and not something that you choreograph a ride to. Classes run three times a week, and are currently held from October through March, when weather is inclement.
Sport Yoga – Certified Yoga instructor Keith, will lead you through an engaging series of stretches and poses. These movements are designed to aid your body as a warm up and engage muscle groups to respond during a workout session. You will see increases in flexibility, stability, balance and coordination. All of which are building blocks for improved athletic performance. Classes are held on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. Check the calendar and sign up for details.
Swim Sessions -We thank all those who participated in the summer swim series at Village Swim Club. Look for exciting new swim related workouts soon!
Track Training – Run on Thursday evenings at Highland Park High School, group track workouts are a fun way to learn form running and pacing. Coach and former collegiate runner Keith, takes participants through drills and warm-up to establish form. Athletes then are given varying workouts that meet their needs and levels. All levels are welcome, and encouraged. These sessions are free, come join.
